New Features in v1.51 (16/10/2001) --------------------- -Added validation for AWE.LGP (95-file archives) -Fixed Create LGP (I think!) -Fixed folder selection routines New Features in v1.50 (13/10/2001) --------------------- -Recompiled with Delphi 6. Not many visual changes though... -REQUIRES Ficedula library code v1.5 or higher or many features will NOT work -Added Field Background type to previewer -Added a few more types to default preview table -Added option to decompress files that are compressed, while extracting them -Fixed ordering of preview table New Features in v1.46 (26/8/2001) --------------------- -Added "Export Description" option - writes a list of files in archive with some details about them. -Debug build - logs error messages, hopefully so I can track down bugs New Features in v1.45 (6/7/2001) --------------------- -Reorganised menus ... again ... -Rewrote patch support. Patches work *much* better now; this is intended to replace the patch system in Cosmo (except it'll work with all LGP files, of course). New Features in v1.40 (30/5/2001) --------------------- -Fixed a small bug in the file opening code -Reorganised menus slightly -Fixed "Pack archive" toolbar button -Added right-click menu to main editor (perform extract, replace, View As, etc.) -Improved "Export skeleton"; now you can export just the .P (polygon) files, or all skeleton files (RSD's, textures, etc). Any textures exported are converted to BMP files. -Speeded up LGP loading a lot. Uses *slightly* more memory, but shouldn't be noticeable (less than 1MB in most cases). -Added "Find" tool. Search current archive for files of a particular name, type, size, or that contain particular pieces of text. -No longer have to close file after Advanced Editor is invoked. Replace File no longer has to close and reopen the file after changes are made. -Added Shell Integration; following features: 1) Doubleclick on an LGP file in Explorer to open it in LGP Tools (if LGP Tools is already running, it will open the file in the existing LGP Tools window). 2) Drag & drop files from Explorer into LGP Tools to add them to the current archive. (It will only add files with names that are already in the archive though, ie. to update them). 3) File properties in Explorer for LGP Files have an extra tab, 'Details'; gives basic information about the LGP archive. Can also extract files from the property window as well! LGP Tools will ask you whether you want to install the shell integration when you first run it; you can reinstall it later from the Options menu. New Features in v1.32 (27/5/2001) --------------------- -Fixed preview code (again). Now sorting the list doesn't mess up previewing. -You can Extract multiple files now. Select multiple files in the normal way (SHIFT or CONTROL click the list). -Skeleton Hierarchies have an additional option in the preview window; "Export Skeleton". This extracts all the .P files associated with the skeleton into a separate folder. Could be useful for editing the model. -Fixed a few small bugs in the interface -Gave the option to change the LGP "block size" (how many files will be displayed at once in the editing windows). New Features in v1.31 (25/5/2001) --------------------- -Editor now uses shared library code. Easier to update/fix bugs in the future but it does mean you need FICEDULA.DLL to run the program now. -Fixed "View As" preview choice (broke it in an earlier version) -Slight adjustment to preview selection code -Fixed bug in main editor that caused list to have incorrect entries in it -Used newer version of EXE compressor; may fix slowdown problems on some peoples computers. New Features in v1.30 (31/3/2001) --------------------- -"Replace" option in main editor - lets you replace the file in an LGP with one of your own from disk. (You could always do this with the Advanced Editor; now it's easy to do it from the main window). -Editor now uses FiceStream code (easier to customise the program in the future). -When importing BMP's (through "Replace") option program will automatically convert them to TEX's. See below! New Features in v1.27 (8/3/2001) --------------------- -Direct preview for .P?? files (really just standard .P files, but now you don't have to tell LGP Tools what to interpret them as). -"Save As" option in most preview windows (HRC,TXT,RSD and TEX files; right-click on the preview. TEX files are saved as Windows BMP's). -3d preview improved; free movement and rotation (see below for details). New Features in v1.26 (28/2/2001) --------------------- -If you try to preview an unknown file type, you can choose to 'interpret' it as a particular type of file. For example, if you suspect a certain unknown file is really a texture, you can instruct the editor to try and view it as a texture. New Features in v1.25 (6/2/2001) --------------------- -Slight bug fixes -Added preview for RSD (text display), HRC (displays layout and other files referenced) and P (displays 3d preview) files. New Features in v1.22 (30/1/2001) --------------------- -Fixed "Repair Archive". The previous versions didn't actually write the fixed TOC back to disk... -Preview works again. v1.21 broke it. -Main window now remembers its size (should make it easier to customise the toolbar positions etc). -Fixed one or two misc. display bugs in Advanced Editor. -"Pack Archive" command added. -Misc bug fixes. -Command line version released! (Separate download). New Features in v1.21 (18/1/2001) --------------------- -Updated Advanced Editor to use the new Raw LGP code Cosmo uses. Older versions of LGP Tools Advanced Editor might not read the files Cosmo produces (they should still read it in standard mode). -Updated interface to use same toolbars as Cosmo (as always, they're optional and can be turned off). NEW FEATURES IN v1.2 (and there's a lot of em!) (15/1/2001) ----------------------------------------------- -Complete interface redesign. Since I was redesigning Cosmo, thought I might as well do this too. If you're messing about with editing files in Cosmo, you'll need a decent LGP package to go with it too - so here's the new version. -Changed name to "LGP Tools". Makes more sense, it isn't just an editor any more. -Repair Archive option added to main menu. *Might* rescue an LGP you've trashed if the Table of Contents (TOC) is the only thing that's been damaged. -Added support for LGP patches. Allow you to package a file containing all the changes between the original (official) version of an archive, and your edited version. The file isn't compressed, but it zips up well, and is usually pretty small. You can even make them into a self-extracting patch! See the new sections in the Readme below for the LGP patch support. NEW FEATURES IN v1.13 (never released....) -Bug fixes. Advanced editor displays properly after an 'Append'. -Main list doesn't crash any more if an LGP file contains invalid data. -Progress bar works on 'Extract all'. -Program doesn't halt for a minute or two if the last data file in an archive isn't used. NEW FEATURES IN v1.12 -Optimised loading routines (files should load a bit quicker) -Added progress bar to show how quickly loading is going -Large LGP's are split up into 1000 file 'blocks' for editing. So, now you should be able to edit LGP's of almost any size at all. -Truncate (delete) option added to advanced editor. NEW FEATURES IN v1.11: -Fixed misc. display bugs (list not cleared when a new file opened, file description inaccurate). -Added preview ( .MID and .TEX files only, at the moment) -Advanced edit added (lets you edit the table of contents in the LGP. So, you can edit the LGP without having to "recompile" it every time you change something. Experts only! -Analyse file added (reports any problems with the archive). Note: For an LGP file to be editable by my program, it HAS to have a CRC length of 3602. If you can't open an LGP, check it for this using Analyse. NEW FEATURES IN v1.1: -Create LGP files!
